I use several evidence-based teaching strategies in my classroom including team-based, project-based, game-based, and case study-based learning. My current focus is in the field of Biology Education Research. I am interested in studying the development of science literature identification and evaluation skills in students using project-based interventions. My interests also include harnessing the power of games to enhance student learning of biological concepts. Games are a source of enjoyment for people of most ages, but they can also be incredibly useful educational tools in biology.
