I specialize in advising first-year students in biology programs and will assume responsibility for the BEST learning community in Fall 2020.  I began my career as an academic adviser in September 2019 after teaching Introductory Biology at DMACC for two years.  Occasionally I am a freelance logo designer for small businesses.

My graduate research focused on the importance of experiential learning and assessment efficacy in informal learning environments.  I had the privilege of partnering with the Trinity River Audubon Center in Dallas, Texas to create a three-part field trip for primary and secondary students.
