Tips for Living with a Roommate
- Be open with communication
- Be respectful of each other's space and time
- Establish roles early (how chores are split, etc.)
- Get to know your roommate but also make your own friends!
- Talk about your lifestyles (sleeping times, friends coming over,etc.)
- Be open-minded
- Living together will be what you make of it!
Advice we wish we had known before the first week
- Try to talk to as many people as possible In your classes
- Take a deep breath :)
- Give yourself grace
- Take time for yourself
- Learn about your resources as soon as you can
- Google is your friend
- Try not to compare yourself to others, everyone is on a different path
- Try to make your backpack as light as possible (you walk a LOT)
