Tips for Living with a Roommate

  • Be open with communication
  • Be respectful of each other's space and time
  • Establish roles early (how chores are split, etc.)
  • Get to know your roommate but also make your own friends!
  • Talk about your lifestyles (sleeping times, friends coming over,etc.)
  • Be open-minded
  • Living together will be what you make of it!

 

Advice we wish we had known before the first week

  • Try to talk to as many people as possible In your classes
  • Take a deep breath :)
  • Give yourself grace
  • Take time for yourself
  • Learn about your resources as soon as you can
  • Google is your friend
  • Try not to compare yourself to others, everyone is on a different path
  • Try to make your backpack as light as possible (you walk a LOT)
  • Relax, you got this!!
